It All Started with a Nosey Mom and a Contest
January 11th, 2007 by Michael
For some time now I’ve thought of joining the blogsphere, but just never took the leap. Then Mom discovered Sis’s blog and conveniently neglected to remember that she wasn’t supposed to tell anybody about it. Funny how that happens. When Sis saw that I was interested, she “nominated” me for a a free blog from Incredipete and then bribed enlisted the support of her readers to vote for me in the contest (unbeknownst to me yarn is a real motivator). It was a very close call, but in the end I won.
Thanks again everyone at Slowknitter who voted, and to Pete and IHS Web Solutions for the providing site itself.
Enjoy and comment.

Aw.
And yeah, you have NO IDEA how much yarn motivates people who knit. But you are about to find out now that I’ve got your wife hooked.
Heh.
I’ll have to think of ways that I can use that to my advantage…..Hmmmmm
Yarn makes the world go round.
Congratulations on winning the contest - and thanks for not having a blog before, so that you could enter the contest and prompt Wen to have a contest so that I could win it!
I think the stick man with the flashlights is so cool, and I can’t wait to read about the stories.
Site looks great, Michael! You’ve got quite a sis!
Yes, congratulations on winning the contest! From these first entries, I can see that my vote was not misspent.
But I don’t knit, so I couldn’t partake in your sister’s contest, which means I gained nothing… nothing, except that maybe when I go to L.A. your sister will still let me visit.
That and a new blog to read that I totally expect great things from.
No pressure.
Welcome, Michael! Congrats on the new blog. While I voted for you just because Wen asked me to, I’m staying because I like your blog!
Saru-san, No pressure at all…I do hope the blog lives up to your expectations…;-)
